In addition to above, the department is also carrying out the construction of several buildings for the Punjab Technical University, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Science University, Animal Husbandry Department etc . Civil works relating to Culture and Heritage of Punjab such as Golden Temple Entrance Plaza, Maharishi Balmiki Sthal etc. are also being executed by PWD. The department is also entrusted with the execution of buildings of National importance such as Jung - e - Azadi and new War Memorial - cum - Museum. Presently, PWD (B&R) has Building works amounting to Rs. 1578 Crore in progress.

Building works amounting to Rs. 425 Crore are under various stages of approval.
